I get the opportunity to try quite a few skincare products, which also means I've become very picky about what actually stays in my routine.
When ELM Biosciences gifted me the A3O Elemental Serum, I started using it consistently to see what I thought.
Several weeks later?
I'm still using it. And I love it.
This is exactly what I want The Tried Edit to be about — not products I'm excited about because they just arrived in a pretty box, but the ones I keep reaching for after the novelty wears off.
And the ELM Biosciences A3O Elemental Serum has officially become one of those products.

My ELM Biosciences A3O Elemental Serum Review
I've been using the A3O Elemental Serum for several weeks now, and the first thing I'll say is that it's incredibly easy to incorporate into my existing skincare routine.
That's important to me.
I love skincare, but I don't want a 14-step routine or a product that requires me to completely rethink everything else I'm using.
I want something I'll actually reach for consistently.
And I find myself reaching for this serum.
What I Love About the A3O Elemental Serum
One of the biggest tests for me with any serum is simply how my skin feels when I'm using it consistently.
After several weeks with the ELM A3O Elemental Serum, my skin feels hydrated, smooth and just generally good.
I also really like the way the serum feels going on. It fits easily into my routine and layers well with the other skincare products I'm already using.
But more than anything, I like my skin while I'm using it.
That sounds incredibly simple, but isn't that ultimately the point?
Skincare Over 40: I Want Products That Earn Their Spot
The older I get, the less interested I am in trying something simply because it's trending.
My standards for skincare are actually pretty simple:
Do I enjoy using it?
Do I like how my skin looks and feels?
Do I keep reaching for it?
And the big one...
Would I spend my own money to replace it?
For the ELM Biosciences A3O Elemental Serum, my answer is yes.
Gifted Doesn't Automatically Mean Recommended
This is something I want to be very clear about with The Tried Edit.
ELM Biosciences gifted this serum to me.
But a product showing up at my house does not automatically mean it's going to show up here with a glowing review.
I want this section of Dear Lucy Edits to be where I tell you what happens after I've actually lived with a product.
Some will be great.
Some will be fine.
Some I probably won't recommend at all.
The A3O Elemental Serum?
This one made the cut.
