I have never had great posture.
It’s something that genuinely bothers me when I see myself in photos or catch my reflection. I’ll notice my shoulders rounding forward, immediately correct my posture... and then five minutes later, I’ve forgotten about it again.
So when FORME sent me the FORME Power Bra to try, I was genuinely excited to put it to the test.
The FORME Power Bra is designed as a posture-correcting sports bra that uses its construction to encourage better upper-body alignment. And it also happens to be the sports bra Taylor Swift wore while training for the Eras Tour, which certainly made me even more curious about it.
But at $200+, I wanted to know whether the FORME Power Bra was actually worth the money.
My FORME Power Bra Review
For my first real test, I wore the FORME Power Bra to one of my favorite workouts: Orangetheory.
I didn't want to simply wear it around the house and tell you it was comfortable. I wanted to see how the FORME Power Bra felt through an actual workout.
And my first impression was very good.
FORME Power Bra Sizing + Fit
For reference, I’m a 34C, typically wear a size small top, and wore a size small in the FORME Power Bra.
The small felt like it fit exactly how it should.
The FORME Power Bra feels fitted and supportive, but the thing I noticed most was what was happening around my shoulders.
I could actually feel the fabric and construction gently encouraging my shoulders back.
It didn't feel like something was yanking my shoulders into position. It wasn't restrictive or uncomfortable. Instead, it felt like a subtle physical reminder:
Stop slouching.
And for me, that's exactly what I wanted.
Does the FORME Power Bra Help With Posture?
This was my biggest question.
I know I can stand up straighter. My problem is remembering to do it.
While wearing the FORME Power Bra, I felt a gentle pull around my shoulders that made me more aware of my posture throughout my workout.
I don't want to overstate what a bra can do or make medical claims based on one workout. But based on my personal experience wearing it, I noticed a difference in how aware I was of my shoulder positioning.
And I liked that feeling enough that I want to keep wearing it.
Is the FORME Power Bra Comfortable for Working Out?
For me, yes.
I wore the FORME Power Bra to Orangetheory, where I was able to really test the fit and comfort rather than just walking around in it.
The shoulder support was noticeable without being uncomfortable, and I liked how the bra fit throughout my workout.
That matters because even if a posture bra works beautifully in theory, I'm not going to wear it if I'm uncomfortable.
This one I actually want to put on again.
Is the FORME Power Bra Worth It?
For me: YES.
And here's probably the best indication of how I feel about it:
I want the FORME Power Bra in other colors.
That's always my test with something I've been gifted. If I like it enough that I'm willing to spend my own money to get another one, that's a pretty strong endorsement.
The FORME Power Bra isn't inexpensive. But if posture is something you're conscious of and you're already spending money on quality workout clothes, I think this is a really interesting piece to try.
THE DEAR LUCY EDIT
THE TRIED EDIT VERDICT: WOULD BUY ✓
I liked the fit.
I was comfortable wearing it through an Orangetheory workout.
I could feel the gentle encouragement through my shoulders.
And most importantly, I will continue wearing my FORME Power Bra — and I'm planning to buy another color.
If you've been searching for a FORME Power Bra review because you're trying to decide whether the famous posture bra is actually worth $178 price tag, I hope my experience helps.
