There are a lot of products I like.
And then there are the products that I actually use every single day, replace when I run out, and apparently have to hide from my kids.
These two from Ursa Major, a Vermont-based skincare brand, fall firmly into the second category.
Maybe I’m biased because I will always have a soft spot for a great product out of Vermont, but I’ve been using the Ursa Major Fantastic Face Wash and Ursa Major Essential Face Wipes daily — and I genuinely swear by both of them.
And apparently I'm not the only one in my house who loves them.
My preteen/teen kids were constantly stealing mine, so at this point, they use both products too.
If you're looking for a simple skincare routine for yourself OR trying to get your tween or teenager into the habit of actually washing their face, these are two products I'd start with.
Ursa Major Fantastic Face Wash

This is one of those products that has earned permanent real estate in my bathroom.
The Ursa Major Fantastic Face Wash is my everyday cleanser. It's easy, straightforward and — most importantly — it's something I actually look forward to using.
For me, that's one of the biggest tests of a skincare product.
You can have the most complicated, impressive skincare routine in the world, but if you don't consistently use it, what's the point?
The Fantastic Face Wash is the cleanser I consistently reach for, morning and night.
And then my kids discovered it.
Why My Kids Use Fantastic Face Wash Too
Anyone with a tween or teenager knows that getting them into a consistent skincare routine can be... interesting.
I wasn't initially trying to convince mine to use my skincare.
They were stealing it. 😂
Eventually, I realized that if they were voluntarily washing their faces with the Ursa Major Fantastic Face Wash, I wasn't going to argue with them.
So now it's become one of those rare products that works its way into both my routine AND theirs.
I particularly like the idea of keeping their routines simple. They don't need a bathroom counter filled with products. A cleanser they'll actually use is a pretty good place to start.

And then there are the Ursa Major Essential Face Wipes.
I LOVE these.
They're one of those ridiculously convenient products that I find myself reaching for constantly — which also explains why they kept disappearing.
They're easy to keep around for those moments when doing an entire skincare routine feels like one step too many.
I also love having the Ursa Major Essential Face Wipes around for my kids. Anything that makes washing up and taking care of their skin easier is a win in my book.
Again: the best skincare product is often the one you'll actually use.
A Vermont Brand I Love Supporting
There's also something personal about Ursa Major for me.
I love a great product out of Vermont.
Ursa Major was founded in Vermont, and even though that's certainly not the only reason I buy these products, it makes me love recommending them a little bit more.
I've tried an enormous number of beauty and skincare products over the years, but I always come back to the products that quietly become part of everyday life.
For me, these two have.
If I Were Starting With Just Two Ursa Major Products...
These would be them.
Ursa Major Fantastic Face Wash
My everyday face wash and the one my kids started stealing from me.
Ursa Major Essential Face Wipes
The easy, grab-and-go option that somehow disappears just as quickly in our house.
They're simple. We actually use them. And when I run out, I replace them.
That's about as good an endorsement as I can give a product.

THE DEAR LUCY EDIT
Would I buy them again?
Already have. Many times.
These aren't products I'm recommending because they're new or because someone sent them to me. They're products that have made their way into our family's everyday routine.
And if you come to my house and can't find my face wash?
Check my kids' bathroom first. 😂
