ANOTHER FAIR ISLE SWEATER? AND IN CHESTNUT BROWN? I'M SOLD. 🤎
At this point, I think it's safe to say that my obsession with Fair Isle and every shade of brown has officially taken over my November Floor Edit. And honestly, I'm not even trying to resist!
The Alex Mill Amina Fair Isle Sweater in Chestnut, available at Tuckernuck, is exactly the kind of sweater I love this time of year. The rich chestnut color, classic Fair Isle pattern, and cozy, vintage-inspired feel make it one of those pieces that looks effortlessly stylish without trying too hard.
I especially love how Alex Mill takes timeless wardrobe staples and makes them feel fresh and modern. This sweater has that wonderful nostalgic charm, but it's anything but old-fashioned.
And let's be honest, if you're going to embrace the Fair Isle trend, you might as well do it in the color of the season!
WHY I LOVE IT
Rich chestnut brown feels warm, sophisticated, and completely current
Alex Mill's effortless aesthetic makes this knit feel modern
A beautiful alternative to an everyday solid sweater
Perfect for layering during cooler November days
Looks fabulous with dark denim, corduroy, and cream trousers
Easy to style for Thanksgiving weekend, holiday travel, or casual gatherings
A timeless knit that you'll reach for season after season
THE M.FAIRCHILD EDIT
CLASSIC FAIR ISLE. RICH CHESTNUT. A LITTLE VINTAGE CHARM.
I'd pair this with the Levi's Sassafras Cord Ribcage Flare Jeans + chocolate suede ankle boots + a beautiful leather belt for a cozy, tonal November look.
I'm completely obsessed with mixing different shades of brown this season. Chestnut, chocolate, camel—give me all of it! The combination of Fair Isle and corduroy feels a little '70s, a little countryside chic, and completely effortless.
For Thanksgiving weekend, I'd wear it with dark-wash straight-leg denim, classic loafers, and a camel wool coat. It's comfortable, polished, and perfect for a relaxed holiday gathering.
And for something a little more elevated, I'd style it with cream trousers, a chocolate leather handbag, and suede boots. I love how the lighter neutrals make the traditional Fair Isle pattern feel fresh.
What I love most about this sweater is that it doesn't need much styling. The pattern brings all the personality, so the rest of the outfit can stay simple.
At this rate, will my entire closet be filled with Fair Isle and every shade of brown by Thanksgiving?
TBD. BUT THINGS ARE LOOKING SUSPICIOUS. 🤎
COZY. CLASSIC. EFFORTLESSLY COOL. MAKES MY NOVEMBER FLOOR EDIT. ✓
